The Wall edition was followed up by an IDFA Wall program on 23 November 2024. Two films exploring the presence and impact of walls in Palestine were screened in Amsterdam: Infiltrators by Khaled Jarrar (2012) and Rule of Stone by Danae Elon (2024). These films together offer a view into how lives—first and foremost, Palestinian lives—are shaped and constrained by the silent force of oppressive walls and architecture. Following the screening, filmmaker Khaled Jarrar joined us for a conversation, with reflections framed by text and imagery from Saber Javanmard, Rasha Dakkak, Mariam Shamma, and Ameed Abdelhadi.
